About the Author
Robert van Gent is an historian of astronomy associated with the Institute for History and Foundations of Science at Utrecht University. After obtaining his PhD in astronomy at the University of Utrecht, he worked from 1989 to 1999 as curator of astronomy at the Museum Boerhaave in Leiden. He has published on the history of astronomy, celestial cartography, and astronomical instruments.

An Astrological--Magical Atlas of the Heavens

This is an overwhelming experience in celestial graphics. I could not begin to estimate the time and effort to produce this work, even with modern techniques. It transports you into the inner and outer workings of the cosmos in a Hermetic mode and a romantic style. A must have for every magician and astrologer.

Totally Awesome book.

This book is amazing, the binding- by Taschen- is as high quality as I have seen, and this matters a lot with such a book that involves many graphics and is overall a visual enterprise to read.

The price is a literal steal, I almost feel guilty paying less than 40 dollars for a book this great, but find consolation in knowing how much I love this volume and with the knowledge I will take care of it and learn from it over the years.

You can't go wrong with Taschen

I have purchased several Taschen books and now consider them to be a useful resource, as useful as having an old mentor. Everything they put out is thoughtfully presented, beautifully displayed, well researched.
